You are invited to participate in an Epic summer fundraiser to support the work of 3D Squared, Inc.
3D Squared is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit organization committed to developing the 21st century digital workforce needed for the video game, digital media, and collaborative virtual world industries. We have been helping young people shape their academic and career goals since our first summer Game Camp in 2003.
The fundraiser will help launch Gaming the Planet (www.gamingtheplanet.com), a global youth leadership initiative geared to developing next generation talent for the video game and digital media industries. We help young people learn to work in teams, and use industry standard game and virtual world tools and processes to prototype solutions to the most critical problems facing the world today. This approach is geared not only to generating workers for industry, but for cultivating the social and political leaders who will face down the challenges of the next 50 years.
We are proud to have the support of a mind bending array of luminaries from across the video game, digital media, virtual world, social media, education, national security, and related industries.
The Epic Fundraiser will be held at the legendary Cherrywood Café in Austin on Thursday, October 7th. If you are planning to be in town for the Austin Game Developers Conference, we hope you will be able to come and celebrate with us. We are planning an Epic mix of food, refreshments, music, and a brief, but powerful and informative program.
Sponsors and Hosts receive recognition on the event invitation and program, which are distributed to more than 5,000 leaders within our core industries. Sponsors receive tickets for ten (10) couples to the event, and Hosts receive tickets for four (4) couples.
Your support of this important project in any amount is appreciated. Sponsorship of the event is $2,500, and Host Committee participation is $1,000. Tickets to the fundraiser are $250 per couple. You can become a Sponsor or Host by either contributing, or selling tickets equal to the Sponsorship or Host participation amount (please go to www.gamingtheplanet.com/groups to access Sponsor and Host documents). If you can't Sponsor or Host, your support in any amount, $25, $50 or $100, is critical to helping 3D Squared continue to expand and broaden our leading-edge youth leadership programs.
