Summer Reading Programs 2020
Summertime is here! As the temperatures heat up outside it’s a great time for children of all ages to relax and read. Due to the COVID-19 many in person programs are going online.
This summer, reading programs take on a different mode. Kids can earn free books, money, baseball hats, and more.




Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program


This summer, earn one free book through the Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program for kids grades 1-6. Read any eight books this summer and bring a completed journal to a Barnes & Nobel between July 1st and August 31st, 2020. Choose a free book from the grade level book offerings.

BAM! Book-A-Millions Summer Reading Adventure
with reading ambassador Dav Pilkey, Author and Illustrator of the ‘Captain Underpants’ and ‘Dog Man’.

Choose any four books from the summer reading adventure section in store or online. Write about the books in the log and show the log to store associate to receive a free ‘Dog Man’ baseball cap. Find out more



Scholastic Summer Read-a-Palooza.


Scholastic is providing at-home learning over the summer months with a free program.

This brand new kids experience in Scholastic Home Base, a free digital destination which offers full books, live events, and games in a safe community for readers! Kids will be encouraged to track their reading streaks™ to earn rewards and unlock book donations.

CAMP BOOK IT! Pizza Hut

A new summer program, Camp BOOK IT!, allows parents to track and reward their student’s reading all summer long with a digital dashboard. When they meet their monthly reading goals, they’ll receive a free Personal Pan Pizza® from Pizza Hut!

Chuck E Cheese Summer Reading Program
Kids will have a great time working towards success while earning Chuck E. Cheese rewards along the way. Simply track progress on incentive charts by marking the days off with a pen or sticker as your kids accomplish their goals, then bring in a completed calendar or behavior chart to Chuck E. Cheese and receive 10 free play points or tokens as a reward.

DOGObooks 2020 SUMMER READING ADVENTURE!
Read & Win Prizes!   Join and add your favorite books to your summer reading log. Read books and write as many original reviews as you can. The more reviews you write, the higher your chances of winning. April 29th through August 18th, 2020

Ten (10) participants who review the most books will be eligible to win a Prize Pack of the seven books.: The next twenty-five (25) participants with the most reviews will be eligible to win a $10 Gift Card.

Public Library Summer Reading Programs
Many libraries are moving their programs online this summer. Check out the searchable database of libraries worldwide: http://www.lib-web.org/






The H‑E‑Buddy Summer Reading Club is intended solely for children who are residents of Texas and between the ages of 3‑12.
Read ten books and record them on your reading log. Each time you log a book, have an adult initial by the title so you get credit for reading. Once the log is complete, mail the form and you'll be rewarded with a special t‑shirt. You have until October 1 to get in ten good reads. More info and reading log



TD Banks Summer Reading Program

Kids can earn $10 this summer

Kids in grades K-5 can participate by reading 5 books this summer. Print out the  Summer Reading Form, and take to the nearest TD Bank to receive $10 in a new or existing Simple Savings account. Find a TD Bank near you

Story Time from Space
is a project of the Global Space Education Foundation. Books are sent to the International Space Station. While in space, astronauts are videotaping themselves reading these books to the children of Earth. Children can read along with the astronaut.
