Opportunity is Nowhere?
Or
Opportunity is Now Here?
Ah ha! did you see that?
The fact is that life is simply life, its neither good nor bad, it simply is. Good things will come to us and bad things will come to us, they will always be there, and there is simply nothing you can do about that...
HOWEVER...
What you do have control over, is how you SEE it!
This where your power over your life comes in. You can either choose to be guided by your life, have no control, simply accept what happens to you....
OR...
You can decide to be in charge of your life, decide how you SEE what is happening around you, and turn everything into a possitive!
Sounds like a load of *#@*! right?
Well it's not!
What about what happened in Paris in November?
You're absolutely right, it was horrible, disgusting, unbelievable...and yet, you still had a choice of how to SEE it...
You could choose to only see it for the horrific tragedy it was and still is...or....
You could choose to see it as a horrific tragedy AND an amazing show of love and compassion. Did you see how many countries stepped in immediately to help? Did you see how much love was outpouring all over the internet? Both for those who were hurt at the time as well as for those who were hurt after by the stigma of who they are.
It really IS your choice. Period!
Things WILL happen. Expect it!
Accept that they will happen and then take ACTION on how those events will affect your life. Will you let the events over take your life and consume you in a negative downward spiral or will you decide to be bigger, to be stronger, to accept that yes, bad things happen and then ask yourself, now what can I do about it? What possible good can come from this event?
And don't ever allow yourself to give up!
Assume that you WILL find a good in there and that you WILL use it to better your life or the lives of others. You matter! You are in charge of how you SEE your life.
My two children have had their whole lives turned completely upside down over the past two years: Going through divorcing parents, having to go from homeschooling to being in the school system, having to learn how to live in a world where they are the minority with a ton of prejudice around them and yet, not once have they ever lost faith or given in to the heavy negative cloud that could have easily consumed them. I'm so proud of my kiddos. How blessed am I to be their mother.
Take a look at a song that my daughter wrote, composed and sang to her school for their annual talent show last year...it's called, "I Will Survive this Hard Journey". I think it says it all. Really listen to her words...so proud! Enjoy!
With all the events going on around us, I just really wanted to touch on those and reach out to you all to let you know that you are loved, supported, appreciated and that you have the power to choose to SEE your life and the things that happen to you in a way that will make your life better and happier.
